New York City native, Yaniza, is a bilingual singer-songwriter whose music can be described as pop with acoustic undertones. Yaniza's tunes bring joy and sunshine to its listeners through catchy lyrics meshed with acoustic guitar, ukulele, or piano base. Much like her home city, Yaniza's music is a melting pot of calm, upbeat, and everything in between. From sweet and sorrowful, "Worthless," to fun and playful, "All Tied Up," you're bound to experience a roller coaster of emotions that will always land back to positivity.
Yaniza has played festivals, corporate events, weddings, and many venues around NYC, including Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, Mercury Lounge, and more, with guest appearances at B.B. King and Irving Plaza. Yaniza was named Artist of the Month twice at The Bitter End, and was a semi-finalist in the Coffee Music Project competition in 2017.
Her debut EP, "Sticks & Stones," was released in 2014. Since then, she's released a 10-track album called "Secrets" (2016) and a new single, "Fly Away (Free Bird)" in June of 2018. In between releases, Yaniza also loves making acoustic, laid back versions of pop songs in English, Spanish, or Spanglish, which she uploads to YouTube and Spotify. Since opening her main YouTube channel in 2011, Yaniza has gained thousands of subscribers and over 600,000 views. Her Spotify numbers are also climbing, with her cover of “Mayores” reaching over 40,000 streams and appearing on the site’s official “Hits Acusticos” playlist.
Yaniza is currently writing more songs and booking more gigs. She continues to work hard and share her catchy, feel-good tunes with the world.
